Speck

Speck

Speck was one of two hamster boys being rehomed by someone whose family had left them there. Since the person they were left with was unsure how to care for them, she initially wanted to give them away for free.

However, a rescue volunteer reached out and asked if we could take them in and find them safe homes, out of a concern that they would become snake food. Thankfully the nice lady agreed, and off they went to foster care.

Speck was clearly longing for human interaction, and immediately fell in love with his adoptive mommy when they met. He is a year and a half old, so he is into his hammy retirement years, but will be spending the rest of his life surrounded by love and luxury.

Congrats, little Speck man!
